What the badges mean
Advertiser supplied
Details were provided by the advertiser and have not been independently checked by EstateVera. Most adverts sit here — it does not mean the advert is wrong, only that we have not verified the paperwork.
Advertiser profile
Every advert links to a public advertiser profile showing whether they are a private seller, landlord or agent, how long they have advertised with us, the areas they cover and their live and completed adverts.
Staying safe
Always view in person
Never agree to rent or buy from photographs alone. Insist on viewing the property, and be cautious if you are told the owner is abroad or unavailable.
Never send money up front
EstateVera never asks you to pay a holding fee, deposit or rent through the Marketplace. Do not transfer money to secure a viewing, and never pay by cryptocurrency, gift card or money transfer service.
Keep conversations on-platform
Use the enquiry and viewing tools so there is a record of the exchange. Be wary of anyone pushing you onto messaging apps immediately or refusing a phone call.
Check the paperwork
For rentals, ask for gas safety, EICR and EPC certificates and deposit-protection details. For purchases, your solicitor should confirm title and ownership before any money moves.
Report an advert
If an advert looks misleading, duplicated or fraudulent, use the Report this advert link on the property page. Reports go straight to our moderation team, who can pause or remove an advert while it is reviewed. You can also email support@estatevera.com.
